Description
Onsite Poseidon Military Equipment Service Technician, Level I is not designed to provide certification in 24M Regulator overhaul and service. Though it reviews complete disassembly and reassembly, this training is designed for the Navy Diver who needs certification only in pre-dive checks, adjustment and tuning, but not regulator service and repair. It requires one full day, approximately eight hours long. The on-site course is in-person classroom format; and due to the logistics challenges, is a fixed price with for a class size of anywhere from one to ten students.
Prerequisites
Units must provide a repair station for each pair of students. PDL will provide practice regulators and tools for each pair of students, but the unit must provide a working regulator for each student, which will be disassembled, reassembled and tested in order to graduate. After the course, working regulators must receive 24M service by a certified technician. If fully certified technicians are not on site, PDL can perform a 24M service on the regulators for an additional fee.
